About Noel, MO

McDonald County is the most Southwestern county in Missouri.  McDonald County is made up of six elementary schools and one high school.  Elementary schools include White Rock, Rocky Comfort, Noel, Southwest City, Pineville, and Anderson.  The high school is located in Anderson.

Noel, Missouri is one of the six elementary schools of McDonald County.  The town is known for its post office, which receives hundreds of letters and postcards each year around Christmastime in order for them to be stamped with the name “Noel”.  Interestingly enough, Noel, Missouri is not pronounced like “No-ale”.  Some people pronounce it like it rhymes with “mole”.

Noel, Missouri is located on the Elk river, and is known for its canoeing and float trips.  It also has overhanging bluffs you can drive under, and it has a well-known cave called Dwellers Bluff.

The demographics of Noel is about 58% Hispanic, 39% Caucasian, 1.4% two or more ethnicities, and 1.6% other.

As a staff member, I would like to say that we are proud of our elementary school here in Noel, Missouri.  We dedicate a lot of time and energy into our classrooms, and our students shine when it comes to academics and character education.
